Coral reefs are dying. The waters are too hot, they are boiling.
Did you know the wonders of coral reefs? They are the most diverse marine ecosystems on earth, giving shelter to thousands of animal species.
They are the base of a lot of human resources and a very important system for the planet. Yet now a days over 50 percent of the world’s coral reefs have died in the last 30 years and up to 90 percent may die within the next century.
We have destroy a world that was older than we can imagine in just 30 freaking years....
I could tell you all the wonders of reefs, they give protection to animals and humans. They are living creatures more complex than we can think. Corals are a such a beautiful thing that when you see them under water you don't have any words, but if you see them now probably you would cry. Now the fishes that you used to lived there are gone, the colours had disappeared and the hope of recovery is beyond any hope at this point. Now stoping the destruction and delay the maybe inevitable is the only thing we can ask...or maybe not.
So the next time you thing climate change is a delusion or that you think that saying to a corporation that they should change their policies about carbon emissions, or even when you question the vegan that gives you a talk about the importance of the meat industry in the chain of global warming....think about the boiling waters of the ocean cooking their residents.
